The Sodbusters Archives Museum is located in the hamlet of Strome, Alberta. It was established in 1986 to preserve the history of the prairies and stands as a tribute to the people who called this area home.

In 1904, settlers began to flock to the Strome area enticed by the prospect of free land. Artifacts tell the story of the homesteader’s ingenuity and perseverance through the challenges of life as a pioneer.

Unique displays within the museum show the daily life of the settlers and Indigenous peoples on the prairies during the 1900s. There is also an extensive natural history collection, a military memorial, Canadian Pacific Railway exhibit, bridal gown display, farming equipment and so much more.

The museum is a recognized member of the Alberta Museums Association.
